Yellow is such a happy color -- our house is yellow on the outside and our kitchen, one of our favorite rooms inside the house, is yellow too.
There's a garden in the front where we grow rhubarb and flowers. The BIG backyard is all fenced in for maximum safe fun in the grass and under the trees. We have an apple tree in the backyard, but the squirrels keep stealing the apples before we can eat them. There's a deck with a grill and summers are for eating outdoors.
Our neighborhood is filled with grandmas and grandpas and kids of all ages and friendly cats and dogs that bark to greet you when you walk by. We have a neighborhood block party every year. There are baseball fields, a skating rink and a playground right across the street.
Inside, our house is light and bright. It's not too big, but it's not too small. Lynne has an office on the main floor, Keith has space for his vintage toy collection, CDs and records downstairs. There are plenty of comfy chairs to catch a quick nap in a sunbeam or read a book. Often there is music playing in at least one room. We've got a special room reserved just for our newest little family member.
Our yellow house is filled with love and we're excited to say, "Welcome home, baby."
